SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) are critical for ensuring your emails reach recipients' inboxes. SPF verifies that emails come from authorized servers, while DKIM adds a digital signature to prove the email's authenticity. Together, they reduce the risk of emails being marked as spam. If you do not have SPF and DKIM configured correctly, emails sent from your domain will most likely end up in the spam folder or blocked entirely by most email providers.
Using External DNS Providers (e.g., Cloudflare)
If you use a third-party DNS provider, you must manually configure SPF and DKIM records. To do this:
-
Log in to cPanel, either using the information provided in the welcome email from when you ordered your Wag Websites hosting, or using the cPanel link in the Wag Websites client portal.
-
Navigate to the Email Deliverability page.
-
Follow the instructions to copy the SPF and DKIM records.
-
Add these records to your DNS provider’s settings.
Using Wag Websites Nameservers
If you use Wag Websites' nameservers, SPF and DKIM records are typically set up automatically through cPanel, ensuring seamless email deliverability. However, you can check the status of these items any time:
-
Navigate to the Email Deliverability page.
-
Log in to cPanel, either using the information provided in the welcome email from when you ordered your Wag Websites hosting, or using the cPanel link in the Wag Websites client portal.
